Swainson's Thrush?

I would appreciate if someone could positively ID this bird. The Merlin app says it is a Veery! I don't think so because that's a fairly uncommon bird and both of these pics were taken from my patio in suburban Surrey. I was fooling around with my camera settings, hence the graininess. Thanks!

Thanks Rob. I thought it was a Swainson’s but when Merlin said it was a Veery I started doubting myself :| . As 1 of my former teachers said “1st impressions are usually right”. I’ll have to remember to heed that advice.

In Surrey BC you are most likely to see a Swainson's Thrush than a Veery, who's range in more inland!

And if you don’t have one by then by all means, let’s call it a Veery. :P
