I saw a few shorebirds feeding on the rocks and seaweed in Hardy Bay on Saturday, September 12, 2020. I checked in both my Audubon guide book and my Peterson guide, but am not sure of their IDs.

Hi Marilyn,

I believe the first bird is a greater yellowlegs.

The second bird is a black turnstone

Good birding!

Thanks. I just lucked out when my son put on a 50th birthday dinner and I went up there to attend. I rarely get to Port Hardy now that I live in Courtenay
and am getting old(er).
