Merlin says it's an Osprey or Swainson's Hawk, but I am not so sure.

Hi can see the dark patagial marks on the leading edge of the wings and if you look closely you can just make out the darkish belly band. Both of these field marks indicate a Red-tailed Hawk and yours appears to be a light morph.
It’s still a little early for Osprey around here and Swainson’s are not common (and again usually only in the summer, if at all).
I find the Merlin app to be a handy tool but don’t rely on it completely.

Thanks Judy,

I did notice the dark patagial marks (Yah, my vocabulary just grew :D ), but missed the belly band. Thought it unlikely to be the Osprey or Swainson's Hawk due to the patagial markings, but for some reason didn't think of the Red Tailed Hawk.

Thank you for the information and insight.
