I had virtually no birds at my feeders over the month of May, not even a family of chestnut-backed chickadees. Earlier this week in June, a single male spotted towhee visited one of my feeders and ate some mixed seeks. I didn't see him today, but I am not always looking.

While shopping at the plaza on 8th Street in Courtenay, I heard two song sparrows singing to one another. I managed to get a couple of short videos of them.

Yesterday afternoon at the same plaza, I noticed a northern flicker standing in a parking space. He ran into the shrubbery and I lost track of him.
