Greater Vancouver, Lower Fraser Valley, Chilliwack, Hope, Lytton, Whistler, Squamish, Powell River, Howe Sound
While doing a short walk in the Squamish River Estuary I saw some good migrants passing through the area. My first of the year Willow Flycatcher, four Western Kingbirds, one Lesser Yellowlegs, one Snow Goose, and a Bullock's Oriole. There have been only a couple of sightings of orioles in the estuary over the years - here is a short video of the Oriole. If you listen carefully at the 50 second mark my audio recorder also picked up the sound of our two Purple Martins that we think are nesting in the estuary.
