Here are a couple to add to the list... looking forward to the next couple of weeks for an influx of new opportunities!


Northern Shrike above Vaseux Lake. I've seen four so far this year but haven't had one stand still long enough for a closeup ;-(


Killdeer outside our unit here on Tucelnuit Lake.

Snuck out to Anarchist yesterday to check for any Williamson's Sapsuckers... saw one and heard another. Here's a couple to add to the list...

Wow, I take a couple of days off and y'all double the numbers! Great work.
Ian -- I'm probably gonna drive down that way in the next couple of weeks. Maybe we could stay 6 feet apart and go see that Williamson's Sapsucker? It's on my "need to see" list. lol.

Zach -- here's a Male Redhead for you ... wish my focus was a little better ...

Here's a very squatty Cooper's Hawk ...


and I'm replacing my previous Dark-eyed Junco picture with this one ...

I was out at the local bird habitat (commonly called the "Landfill") and saw no less than four Bald Eagles trying catch a few dozen seagulls!

Here is the Majestic Bald Eagle flying over the Dump.


A couple more of his/her buddies ...




They would circle for awhile and then land in the tree to really get a good look!




Then these Starlings decided they wanted to hang out with the Eagle.



The eagle's weren't interested in the Starlings ... they wanted these guys! The California Gulls.

Just two more for now ... I had a nice long-shot of this Black-billed Magpie holding on for dear life!
(not gonna call it black-eyed this year. haha).


Also, nice to have this Black-capped Chickadee hanging around the house too ...

Ooooh, that Williamson's Sapsucker is fantastic! (edited) I really feel that I should have that one on my list since it's my last name (no, not sapsucker ).
