Hello,
I would love an opinion or two on these photos, which I think have one Lesser and one Greater Scaup in them. What do you think?

Bird in front, I think is Greater - smooth head, green sheen, no peak or notch at back of crown. Bird in back is, I think, Lesser, with the notch at the back.

Here's a front view of the two:

It seems to me that the one on the left is Lesser, with a narrower dark strip in the center of the bill and skinnier neck, and the one on the right is Greater, with a wider swath of dark/black on the bill.

Anybody know about eye colour? From the internet, it seems that juveniles have brown eyes and adults yellow eyes. The one with brown eyes in these photos is smaller.

Thanks!
Sara
