Good morning. My name is Roger and I am excited to be part of this group. I am headed to Vancouver Island this weekend and part of what I would love to see is some Pygmy Owls. Any suggestions on best places to visit to increase my chances on seeing any?
Thanks!

Hi Roger,

If you are heading to Victoria, the best place to see a Pygmy owl is above Goldstream Provincial Park, either Jocelyn Hill in the Highlands or Wigglesworth Lake area in the Goldstream Heights development. It's rare to see a pygmy owl but this are two locations where people have had some success. Goldstream Heights offers lower trees and tends to be better as there will be more migratants up there to look at while you search for Pygmy Owl.
