I am driving from Kelowna to Vancouver in a couple of weeks and wondering if there are some birding sites along the way.

Depends on the route you are taking. Coquihalla connector and down the Coquihalla doesn't offer many birdy locations unless you have time to go off highway to some of the local forestry roads. Personally, I think the most "birdy" route would be Hwy 97 south to Kaleden, and then there are lots of birdy locations long that way - Twin Lakes area, any Provincial park along the Similkameen between Keremeos and Princeton, then some close off highway stops through Manning Park - Beaver Pond, Cascade Lookout, etc. Sunshine Valley and Sumallo Grove - the wetlands on the north side of Hwy 3 just west of Sunshine Village are usually a bit "birdy".
