The Brant Goose at Blackie Spit managed to get itself tangled in what looks like plastic strapping! Is there anything we can do?

it could be eelgrass that the brant seems to really like at blackie spit, but i'm not sure. He sure is photogenic though, and everybody's been getting great photos of him! Nice shot!

I examined all of my pics and there does seem to be a tinge of green in most of them so you are probably right!

The stuff on the "tangled" Horned Grebe just looks so different to my eyes:

That is just eelgrass (plant material) on both birds, nothing to worry about!

Thanks Guys! I figured the Horned Grebe "wrap" out right away but the Brant was wearing this necklace for about an hour and still had it on when I left at approx 5pm!
