Is it possible that a bad angle/lighting could result in a green winged teal looking like it has a purple eye line instead of a green one?

The lighting on a Green-winged Teal can make the bird's green colouring look purple. Here is an example of a bird I saw at Burnaby Lake a year or two ago. The lighting makes parts of the bird look blue.
