Saw this bird today near Squamish. He was in shallow water, swimming around at times turning over leaves as if looking for food. About the size of a starling, light black colour. Thanks for any help!

Sometime I love how birds are named

American Dipper, American Robin, American Bald Eagle, American Coot

Also love how we have a much larger population of "American" Bald Eagles north of the 49th
