I saw this bird today at the top of Christmas Hill - it was bouncing up and down and seemed different than other wrens I've seen; it was also a bit larger.
Could it be a rock wren? I want to make sure before I submit a report.

great find Courtney! I also recognized my Western Meadowlark find from your photos. you really are accumulating a wonderful "List" this year.

Jeremy, is the Christmas bird count 1 week or 1 day? I started a thread under V.I. if you can enlighten us with further information there. thanks. last year, I did email the designated person with some finds.

Thanks to Courtney's careful observation on December 11th, I was finally able to get out and enjoy the Rock Wren yesterday. I did a quick write-up on the ol' blog thing, which can be read here:
