Hello all,

Your help identifying this sparrow would be greatly appreciated! For me, it doesn't have enough of the characteristics to call it a Harris's, but could it be a first winter? The photos were taken today in Metchosin, BC. Apologies for the poor quality, as the pictures were taken through my windshield during the rain.

You are correct, that is a Harris's Sparrow which is a rare bird for that area. Nice find!
