Can anyone tell me the type of hawk. I thought it was a Red Tail but then they are supposed to have a pale belly. Thanks.

Red-tailed rufous. the Red-tailed is the only hawk with the 'dark patagial bar at fore edge of wing' (Peterson). the West has many of these darker & rufous RTHA's.
Sure a beautiful shot!
